Washington State Optometrists

Attenders & Presenters Group

A peer community of optometrists presenting and attending continuing education lectures — built for a time when in-person C.E. is hard to come by.

Our Mission

Continuing Education, By Optometrists, For Optometrists

The A&P Group is for the presentation of low or no-cost synchronous in-person continuing education to optometrists, with each A&P member, on a rotating schedule, presenting the CE to the group.

Washington requires 10 hours of synchronous in-person CE every two-year renewal period, but in-person CE is rare in the Tri-Cities. The A&P Group exists to fill that gap — collegial, peer-led, and intentionally small. Presenters earn 3 hours of Category 3 CE per hour taught (WAC 246-851-150); attenders earn 1 hour per hour of attendance.

Peer-Led Lectures

Every presenter is a practicing optometrist sharing real-world clinical knowledge from their own subspecialty.

Flexible Format

Sessions are organized to fit busy practice schedules, with both live and remote participation options.

A Trusted Circle

A small, invitation-based community where questions, opinions, and discussion are part of every lecture.

Founded with intention.

Tri-Cities A&P Group was founded by Alan Homestead, O.D. to give Washington state optometrists a dependable forum for peer-led continuing education.
